Still haven’t heard anything yet about the exact closing date yet.  I was told yesterday that we would know by this morning.  It is almost noon and still nothing.  I have gut feeling it’s going to happen on Monday now.  Maybe I am wrong.  I just have to keep waiting I guess.

The kids are getting better.  They still have runny noses and still have a cough, but it’s not that deathly looking sickness anymore.  The antibiotic gave Might Bug a severe cause of diarrhea and his poor little bottom is getting sore.  I am starting to feel a bit better also.  Let me tell ya, if you ever want natural diet pills instead, just be sick while taking care of two little sick ones. I lost almost 10 pounds from being so sick and having to run like mad cleaning vomit up several times a day every day for a week.

So I will post again just as soon as I hear something today. I am excited and nervous.

So the closing on the house didn’t happen today.  I am a little disappointed but not too upset. It’s the banks fault for not having the paper work done in time. We are shooting for Friday, but, was told it could also be Monday.  It amazes me how slow people are.  The bank needs to send the closing papers to the Title company, then the title company needs at least 48 hours to do whatever in the hell they do. All of this hold up is because someone, didn’t send the paper work for our homeowners insurance policy in to whom ever needed it.  The insurance company did as they were told to do, and sent the info, so I can’t blame them.  But who ever they sent it to, just sat on it and didn’t forward it to who ever they were suppose to forward it to.  Yes I am a fit confused myself…can you tell?  Too many people to deal with and it makes my head spin.

Doesn’t really matter if it is Friday or Monday….as long as it happens.  So far, still GREEN light full speed ahead…I’m still holding my breath waiting for the other shoe to fall.  Hope that shoe doesn’t fall.  My middle sister is going to fly down (at our expense) to help us when it comes time to move.  Maybe my baby sister will come down also, I’m not sure about that.  I would also like them to help me shop. The house is super huge and we will have a formal living room and we will need to buy furniture for that room.  I think I would like to shop more with my middle sister. My baby sister is all about green shopping and stuff like that. Me, not so much..in fact, not at all.

So we will know more tomorrow on the exact date of the closing on our new home. I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed. Wish us luck

Kids went to the Doc today.  I am sick also, so hubby took off work early to take them.  I was right of course ( I am always right) They are really sick.  Mini Bug has an URI with an inner ear infection.  Poor little Mighty Bug has an URI, Bronchitis, and a middle ear infection also.  Mini Bug was given Amoxicillin and Loratadine which I think is children liquid claritin.  Mighty Bug was given Augmentin and prescription Ibuprofen for pain and fever.  Mini Bugs nose is so red and tender it looks like the skin could start bleeding. I feel so bad for her. I really feel bad for the baby.  I know he turned 2 yrs old and is a big boy now, but he is still and will probably always remain, my baby.  He is having the most terrible time of it.  In a lot of pain, coughing his little lungs out and just plain ole miserable. He screams and crys when he coughs till he throws up. It scares him so much.  My heart just breaks.  Hey moms out there, I know I said this before, but I feel it needs repeating.  If your little angel is sick…keep them the hell home!!!!! Please stop spreading your little sweeties diseases to innocent people.    I am getting so fed up with these mothers that send their kids to school and out in public while they are clearly sick, and spreading their germs to everyone!  If your kid is sick…YOU stay home and take care of them.  You made them, it’s your responsibility. In fact I could really go on a ranting rage about this one.   When I was young, and we got sick, my mother took care of us.  She didn’t ship sick kids off to daycare, she didn’t take us out shopping so that we can sneeze and cough all over the store.  We stayed home, she made hot soup, took us to the Dr, whatever, but she was there and we were IN the house until we were well. I stay at home and take care of my little devils until they are well…I make home made chicken soup, keep the vaporizer running with the vicks in it. I keep the cool wash cloths on their feverish little heads. I rock them while they are crying and try to comfort them, sometimes both at the same time….and they are built like brick houses let me tell ya..its not easy. But they are mine and my responsibility, and it is ME they need to take care of them…not a day care worker while they are ill and feeling like crud…they need the comfort of their own homes while they are sick…why doesn’t every one feel that way?

Mighty Bug

I know I will get flack over this, but you know what I don’t care. It’s my opinion and I am entitled to it.  Women should not have babys who don’t really want to raise their own kids.  Kids should not be raised in Daycare centers.  If a mother has to work, then that work schedule should be around the childs needs and not the other way around.  Why make a baby, if its not your top priority?  Why make a baby so that someone else can raise it for you?   I dunno, the world confuses me anymore. It’s upside down and inside out.   I know I come from a different generation, where the wife stayed home for the most part and took care of the kids and home, the husband went to work and provided for the family.   It worked!  Kids came home from school and knew their mom was home waiting for them.  I could go on and on, but I better not, or maybe another time when I am not in such a foul mood because I am over exhausted from taking care of sick children.  Once again…Keep your sick kids home!  I’m sick of the sickness already.  My little 4 yr old just got to go to PreK…she has already missed almost 2 weeks of school because of being sick, because mothers who have to work, send their kids to school while they are very sick.  Screw that. Or maybe I am assuming they work, maybe they just send them because they don’t want to deal with them and want them out of the house…that could very well be the case also.  Shame on you!

On to other things.  My older boy who is staying with us, went to another dentist appointment today.  That has my panties in a twist also.  He now has to go see an Oral Surgeon to get his top teeth removed.  I have explained over and over and I swear over again, that the boy is on a fixed income.  He’s freaking nuttier than a fruit cake I tell ya.  He doesn’t have dental insurance, he is on Medicare, which doesn’t cover anything dental.  Oral surgeons cost an arm and a leg.  All I want is his top teeth extracted, and get him dentures made so he will feel good about himself again.  Noooooo they have to make it so damn difficult and so damn expensive.  Just yank the freaking teeth out!!!!  They all want a piece of that pie don’t they.   So, I have to think about this, after I feel better and can think of the best course of action to take.  He can’t afford 240 bucks a tooth to be extracted.  That’s just wrong.   I know I had a tooth pulled about 5 years ago and I think it cost me 75.00 at a normal dentist office.  I sat there, opened wide, and he yanked the back freaking tooth!  WHY for the love of God would they make a poor kid who doesn’t have a pot to piss in go see an oral surgeon.  Just pull the freaking teeth 2 at a time until they are all gone!  No that would be too freaking simple.  Assholes. Then the older boy said to me, who I lovingly refer to as asshole #2 son, says mom.  Can I have a weight bench and some weights and maybe the  best testosterone booster. Blink Blink. I look at him. What? I say while I am holding the dental work papers that he brought him. He says, I think I would really like to start working out at home instead of just as the Y. I look at the papers in my hand, and look back at him. (Remember I am sick, and have been cleaning up after 2 little ones who have been vomiting all over the place, running fevers etc) and ask him…are you out of your ever lovin mind? He gets a real confused surprised look on his face. Why are you getting attitude with me he asks. I am ashamed to admit, that I actually yelled (and it felt good at the time). I yelled, I am trying to figure out how to pay to get your rotted mouth fixed and your worried about weights???? He looked at me stunned for a moment, with that clueless look he can get. Then I seen the light bulb go off in his head and he said, oh yeah…I forgot, see mom, that’s what I need you for. You have priorities. I couldn’t take it anymore and asked him to please go get busy doing something and leave me alone..which he gladly did.   Deep long heavy sigh……nite folks.

For crying out loud already.  My Mighty bugs birthday celebration post is going to have to wait, I can’t do it today.  The kids are sick, really sick, coughing their lungs out and now vomiting again.  I am sick now and so is my husband.  I don’t know or understand what has been going on around here for the past couple of months, but we seem to be catching every little thing there is out there to catch.

My older son is feeling ok. Coughing a little bit but not so much.  I had him do some yard work today, clean the trees up a little bit because of all the dead stuff and give the hedges a quick trim. I wont ask him to touch the hedges again. They are now lopsided. I will care more about it when I feel a bit better. It really sucks to be sick and have to clean vomit up at the same time. Yeah for me.

Mini Bug has yet another cold and cough. I knew this would happen as soon as I registered her in Pre-K, and sure enough it did indeed happen. Back to the snotty noses and the up all night coughing mess. Gotta love kids huh.

The 10th is next Wednesday and that is the planned date for the closing on our new home. I am afraid to get excited, Murphys Law and all that. So far, it appears that its all green lights Go. I’m waiting for Tuesday night to come and a big red STOP sign hits me in the face or something. Hopefully that will not happen. I will be so disappointed.  We wont move into the house right away, there are some things to get done first, like painting the whole inside of an almost 3000 sq foot home.  Plus some other minor details, that we want to do, but want it done before we move our stuff in.  For me, I can’t wait to start on the landscaping.  Like I said, the house has been vacant for a little over a year.  Lots and lots needs done outside, and I’m itching to do it.  I love really love gardening and landscaping.

Hubby and my kids have been going to the Y a lot.  He is trying to talk me into going with them.  He said, the treadmill would do you good Bug, I said, oh yeah? A BMW would do me good too, should I go get one. I know, I should go, I just hate crowds. Who wants to see a fat old lady running her lard ass off? Hell, I don’t even wanna see it.

I am so excited! Warm weather is finally coming back to Florida after a long long ..LONG absence. It’s been so depressing living in Florida and it being nothing but cold. Here is our 7 day forecast…see the warmth coming..wooohooo! Hopefully, this will be the last cold front that will come thru, and it will be all blue skys from here on.

Sorry for being MIA, I am a bit under the weather. Diverticulitis is acting up again, along with a UTI and Kidney Infection. I am one unhappy camper right now. Be back when the pain goes away.

I bought my husband a GPS last year. I forget what holiday it was, maybe our anniversary, or his birthday, I forget.  That was definitely the best money spent.  We meaning He, uses it all the time.  It’s great for our mini weekend vacations, as we haven’t gotten lost even once since we have had it.  Before, we would get lost, and of course as most women know, men don’t get lost, they just keep driving until they figure out where they are.  I hated those days.  Now, he just puts the destination in, and it “talks” to us the whole way there.

When I was searching for Sat Navs and trying to figure out which on to buy, I came across Unbeatable.co.uk. This site was great as it lets you compare prices as well as read user reviews. They also had discount codes which would have been very useful if I lived in the UK, which I don’t. But for those of you that do, and are in the market for a GPS device, check them out.  I know it took me a long time to decide on which one to buy. I am not tech savvy and I had to rely on what I read on the Internet to make my choice.  I didn’t ask my husband because I wanted it to be a surprise.  Which is was.

I swear Mini Bug has more energy then the Energizer Bunny, she just keeps going and going and going. I’m annoyed! I want to take her batteries out and give it a rest for a while. Can’t find the damn batteries!!! She doesn’t stop. I am over the top exhausted and it’s only 4:48. WHERE in the hell does she get all this energy? Worse, the little beauty, has the gift of gab. Her sweet little mouth goes from the time she wakes up until the time she goes to sleep. I’m not even slightly exaggerating. She doesn’t let you get a word in, she talks right over top of you. I can’t wait until Monday. Oh how I love school. Thank God she loves it too. Bless her teachers hearts, I can only imagine what they go thru each day with her and 15 other 4 yr old students. I would be cross eyed if I had that job…or in jail.

She gets away with a lot of crap around here, and I have to admit that we spoiled her kinda rotten. Now we are paying the piper his dues. But goodness she is such a beautiful girl. She has a very fair complexion, and I doubt it highly if she will ever have to worry about using tazorac cream, like my oldest son did. She can be so sweet and loving it melts your heart and you feel so guilty for ever being upset with her. Sigh, I know this will all pass and soon she will be a big girl, who doesn’t want to snuggle and give kisses, I am sure I will miss it when that happens. But for now, I wish I had a nanny, and I am begging for 10 minutes of silence…
