it is a part of the challenges for a mother, doing all the housework, taking care of children and husband and have to work to help the husband in getting an additional income. interesting posting, hope your son will getting better, take care and God bless you.

I know the feeling, I’m a hands-on mom, I’ve got three children and that was the most difficult moment for me, every time one of them got sick and seeing my child suffers, I even got one that was hospitalized. For me taking care of them is my priority above everything else. I think that’s how a mother should be. Prayer for early recovery of your little angel.

I agree with you. My mother didn’t stay and look after me, but I did for my kids. Sure we needed things and couldn’t have the stuff our next door neighbour was having because they both work (they’re on their second marriages too, so there’s a whole lot of history there). However,our kids are great human beings. I know who they are because the foundation of their principles weren’t laid down by some absent nursery worker. It was laid down by me.

Bits of advice:

1) Gummy Vitamins – Echinacia, Vitamin C, and Zinc kind – They are awesome.

2) A fly swatter to wack the assholes upside the head.

3) Stop to understand that not every woman chooses a career over her children. Some women actually have to work just to feed their kids. They might not have planned it that way in the beginning. Life is messy. It doesn’t always work the way we want it to work.

I so remember these days too. We are to take care of our babies and not send them to school/day care when they are sick. I agree with you on this. It does appear that many parents aren’t raising their kids and let other take care of that for them. I’ve noticed that too.

Sorry that your son is having such trouble with his teeth. I hope it gets resolved soon.

Most of all I hope your family gets well soon. You’ve certainly had a long haul of sickness this winter.
