So I got a lot of rest today and started a new antibiotic yesterday. It’s 4 am and I think..yes think (hoping for the best here guys) I am feeling a bit better. Not well by a long shot, but I do feel like I have improved since yesterday. Ohhhh and to whom ever it was that advised me to get some Black Elder Berry for this flu, THANK YOU. I sent my husband out to Walgreen’s yesterday to do just that…hunt for the miracle cure of Black Elderberries. Sure enough he found it, and believe this or not, I do believe it works!!! The first tablet that I took, I let dissolve on my tongue like the instructions said, and I swear I could feel a calming in my throat. I didn’t cough for about an hour, which in its self is a miracle as I was coughing every 2 minutes or less. So I have been taking those tabs every 6 hours like clockwork. It says your supposed to start using them on the first signs of cold or flu. Well, I’m 11 days into this freaking shit and just now trying it…and it really does appear to work.
My holidays were totally canceled. I feel so awful about that. We did put up our Christmas Palm Tree and my son and husband decorated it. There were presents under the tree on Christmas morning, and Christmas cookies on the counter. But me and the kids were sick. It wasn’t the same. There was a turkey in the oven that my husband made for the first time in his life, that I couldn’t even smell because my nose was so stuffed up…is still stuffed up in face. The kids of course loved their gifts but they were sick, so it wasn’t as merry as it should have been. My husband bought me an Amazon Kindle. I didn’t even know what the hell it was, that’s how tech retarded I am. But I am a fast learner, and I absolutely love it. I have been reading a lot while I have been sick. In bed, reading on my new kindle and sleeping. I got him what he asked for, which I don’t even remember what it was, some kind of Nokia Music Express phone thing. I got a Blackberry from him. My middle son got a laptop. Now he can keep his fingers off my computer. That irked me to no end. I don’t like anyone on my computer, and while I was sick, seeing him sitting at my computer made my blood boil. I am not a stingy person, normally I would give a stranger the shirt off my back….just don’t touch my freaking computer. So, now he has his own. Problem solved.
New problem….Both my son and my husbands birthday is on the 15th of this month. It’s a problem ever year. I mean come on now, we just had Christmas, they got want they wanted, what is left to buy now?? My son I think I have figured out. He has been hinting around..no I take that back…he has been begging and nagging me to death about this electronic cigarette thing. He wants it really bad. So, I will order it for him. I don’t quiet understand how it is different than a regular cig, but when it comes I will take pictures and let you all know how long this fad lasts with him. If it works or not. So, one problem solved, one more to go…what to get Dr. Corny. He is the hardest man to buy for I swear. I hope he gives me hints because if he doesn’t hes probably not gonna like what I get.
Anyways, I hope this trend keeps up and that each day I feel more and more like my old self…actually it would be kinda neat if each day I felt more and more like someone ELSE…hahahah like maybe a 25 yr old bursting with energy and spunk and full of life. Hey I can wish right!
