I’ll be praying for your and your family…I’m a recovering alcoholic who is also bi-polar (3 yrs sober and on meds now!!), and I know the torture I put my husband and family through. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.

You are amazing. I send you many blessings. It will work out some how, some way, stay positive. The fact that he called you and turned to you means that he trusts you and knows you’re a good mother in his heart even if he doesn’t say it outright.

Of my 7, one has a terrible time with the drugs, depression etc. His dad feeding him crack added to the mess.
We stopped the psych drugs though, didn’t want him to think popping pills is what gets you healthy, plus they have nasty side-effects and after awhile don’t work. I think the thing that made the most improvement was lots of vitamin D (got his levels up to normal) and fish oil and many other essential fatty acids, these got his brain working properly again, but we had to cut out sugar (really messes up the brain) and add lots of trace minerals especially sea salt. Oh and we took msg out of his diet, it actually kills brain cells! Aspartame too. He’s sticking with it because he feels so much better. Yeah, we got the teeth fixed too, I guess the drugs or not caring take their toll on the teeth. Anyhow he’s doing better than ever now, doesn’t seem to be depressed as is into bodybuilding, he even smiles these days, and actually interacts with people. There’s always hope.
