It’s been so very humid down here lately. Last night we took my middle sister and her daughter to Tarpon Springs. She has never been there, and my husband loves Greek food. So, we decided to go later in the evening, so it wouldn’t he so hot and we could enjoy walking and shopping. We got there around 7:30 and to our dismay, more than half of the shops were closed. There were still some open, and we did get to look around and buy a few new sponges and things.
By the time we got to the end of the main street, we were soaked from sweat. Almost like we had been swimming. By this time it was a little after 8 so we went into our favorite Greek Restaurant Mama’s. Oh the smells were fantastic, the food was delicious, and there was even live entertainment. To top the night off an older couple came over to us to compliment us on how well behaved our children were. My husband grinned from ear to ear. It’s not often we hear that. But they were good, and that was nice.
Today, my sisters are going with my mom and dad to some huge 2 thousand acre flea market. I passed on that one. No way do I want to walk around in the hot sun looking at other peoples junk.
So hubby is outside pressure washing the lanai and everything else that needs pressure washed. When you live in FL, pressure washers are a must have, if you don’t want everything to turn green from mold. Humidity does that to everything. I wonder if I sat out there long enough if I would turn green also
