It was so nice to get away for a couple of days. I really did need the mental break. Mini Bug absolutely loves the beach, she is a little beach bunny. Mighty bug hated it. Hated the sand, hated the ocean, hated everything about it. I remember that Mini Bug was the same way when she was his age and we took her to the beach for her first time…she was terrified. Mighty Bug will learn to love the beach and sand also as he gets older. They were both very good on this trip. Mini Bug played her heart out on the beach digging in the sand and collecting shells.
The resort we stayed at was very nice. If your looking for a nice place to stay on Fort Myers beach I totally recommend Outriggers Resort. The rooms are nice and clean and modern. Actually I wouldn’t mind having their lighting fixtures in my own home. The whole place had a very topical feel to it. Their Tiki bar on the beach had live music every night that we were there. It was so nice to sit outside of our room on the beach and listen to the music and watch people playing volley ball in the sand. The kids were given a complimentary basket of sand toys when we arrived, and we were given a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket with glasses. Sweet. Here are some picture
