What is the meaning of the term my best friend? This is what I found: “the one friend who is closest to you”
Growing up, i had many friends, but only one “best” friend. She was the best, no one was above her. I loved her to pieces and still do in fact, she will be my one and only “best friend” until the day I die. We went thru everything together, good times, bad times, fights, laughter. She always has my back, and I always have hers. It doesn’t matter if we haven’t talked in months…the feelings never change. We can call each other up after not talking for some time, and pick up right where we left off. I know in my heart that this woman loves me, really loves me.
I don’t get how some people can call, every single friend they have, as their “best” friend. They can be good friends. but there can only be 1 BEST.
My ”best” friend has been a rock for me these past few weeks. She calls to make sure I am ok, she calls to see what she can do to help me with the house. She didn’t hesitate to go to my burnt down home and be my eyes. She didn’t hesitate to mow the grass and clean up the mess the fireman and looters made of my property. She always has words of support for me, and when she thinks I need it, let’s me have it with both barrels. She is always honest, open and up front with me. I know, with her in my life, I am never truly alone.
Here’s to ”BEST” friends…I wish everyone could have one like I have.
