My husband suggest that when all of this is done, and we can finally breath, we should go away for awhile. I mean, when the house is finally taken care of and demolished…when the township does their state inspections to make sure the demolition was done properly, and everything we owned has grass seed planted over it. When the adoption is finalized and we can breath a huge sigh of relief, he wants us to take some time to just get away. Life has been hell for us. All of us, even the children, because we are stressed to the max and the kids can sense and feel that. There isn’t much happy playing going on around here lately.
So, I said, to him, where would you like to go, and it really stunned me, shocked me in fact when he said,Vegas. I would never in a million years thought he would want to go there. He doesn’t gamble at all. He doesn’t drink either. But he said he would like to see some Las Vegas Shows.
Apparently he had been thinking about this for awhile because he had already searched for Las Vegas Deals and Las Vegas Specials.
He had even checked out Las Vegas Hotels. I felt kind of bad when I told him, that while I thought that going to Vegas, might be nice for us, meaning, him and I, it is not practical for the kids. I really don’t think Las Vegas is the place to take small children. At least not if you want to have fun and see anything. After thinking about it for awhile he agreed.
So when this is all said and done, and when this huge mountain of problems we have sitting on our heads are behind us, we are going to head off to Sanabel Island which is about 3 hours from us, and just relax on the beach for a couple of days. That is much more to my liking.
We will save Las Vegas for a later time, when the kids are much older.
